Finally, Help for Robbie!
The concerned restaurant owner took matters into her own hands. She asked a vet to come and take a look at Robbie. The vet came and took a quick look at him outside the restaurant. He later took Robbie to the vets office for a thorough investigation. The results were saddening.
He had late-stage heartworm infection and was on the edge of death. Insurance did not cover the treatment and it was expensive. This is likely why the owner abandoned him. They probably could not afford the cost of the treatment. So not only was Robbie heartbroken, he was sick and not feeling well. This made his situation even more dire and he really needed help. If he didn’t get help, he may die from the infection.
Robbie’s heartbreaking story was broadcast on the local news. The restaurant owner along with other good Samaritans donated money towards the cost of Robbie’s expensive treatment. So finally Robbie could get much needed medical care. It was a risky procedure but Robbie pulled through. He is doing much better thanks to the caring restaurant owner ad good Samaritans who saw someone in need and chipping in.
A New Life
Robbie was no longer heartbroken. His body healed. Robbie looks like a completely different dog! He was then put up for adoption but being cared for by the restaurant owner until he arrived at his new forever home
A couple decided to adopt Robbie. They saw the broadcast on television about Roobies story and it touched their hearts. Robbie’s new owner, we will call her Mrs. Chi, recently lost her beloved dog Mung and was still grieving from his loss. When she saw Robbie’s story on television, she connected with him as he reminded her of Mung. That sealed the deal for her and she went forward with Adopting Robbie. Luck pooch went from being an abandoned and heartbroken dog to adopted and loved.
