Dogs are selfless beings known to save other animals in need. One service dog dedicates her time in the hopes of saving endangered marine animals. Marea, who is a fulltime service dog, volunteers as a first responder for the Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Program. She is one of the volunteers who help save seals and other marine creatures.
Doctors advised Marea’s owner, Heather Bing, to get a service dog. The woman from Rhode Island suffers from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Pseudotumor Cerebri, a condition that brings increased brain pressure – causing vision problems and headaches. Heather said Marea changed her life. The Golden Retriever proves to be the best partner she needed to battle her health conditions.
Meet Marea
Marea is a beautiful service dog! According to Heather, the two of them enjoys a lot of time at the beach. One of Heather’s habits is to pick trash on the shoreline so it would not cause any problems to marine life. Marea quickly learned her owner’s way and joined her in picking up the garbage. Heather describes her service dog as “pretty incredible.”
