We can all agree that puppies are super cute. Those big eyes, button noses, large heads make them irresistible to hugs, cuddles and ogling. Pet parents who’s bestie has had puppies can certainly relate. That is certainly the case for Natalia Mukhomedeeva, and her husband Albert who live in the town of Ramon in south-western Russia’s Voronezh Oblast region. They were excited as they say their 2 year old Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) named Kira giving birth to puppies naturally in their home.
Kira started giving birth at 9pm and the puppies kept coming until 5am. The expected her to give birth to 2 or 3 puppies with the biggest litter being 9-10 puppies. To their surprise and excitement, she gave birth to 19 puppies! Unfortunately one did not make it.

Cane corso breeds are described as being intelligent, affectionate, majestic and loyal creatures that make excellent guard dogs. They typically give birth to 2-3 puppies in a litter. The birth of 19 was therefore nothing short of miraculous and record holding worthy.
