Most people are born with all their extremities intact and don’t think much about being able to do the most basic tasks. For a tiny Chihuahua Puppy named turbo, he was not born with all his limps. He was missing his two front legs. Unfortunately due to his disability, his liter brothers and sisters were not too nice to him. They would gang up on him and he probably had a tough time getting the milk that he needed. The owner decided to put him up for adoption in order to find a loving family that would care for him.
A New Family
He met his adoptive mom when his original owner brought him to the clinic. She worked at the Vets office. When she saw him, she immediately fell in love. He was so tiny and cute that she could not resist him. Little Turbo simply stole her heart. What tiny Turbo puppy did not know was that this would be such a blessing for him. Not only did Turbo get the care that he needed, his mom empowered him to transcend his disability.
Within the first two weeks, she worked with him to try to get him to scoot. Then she also worked with him to strengthen his hind legs. Being that she worked in a vets office, she was well aware of the options available to tiny Turbo in order to allow him to have freedom of movement. The best option was a cart with wheels. However, they usually were not available until the dog turns 6-8 months old. His mom was unwilling to wait.
